Standard commissions
are priced to reflect the time, care, and personal detail that go into every painting. Each piece of artwork is unique and one-of-a-kind, where every detail is thoughtfully crafted to capture the essence of your story and memories.
I integrate the personalties, stories, and memories of your life into your painting.
I do this by asking questions and weaving your answers into a ‘visual story’.
For example, I don’t just paint your house or business. I ask for specific memories of your home, or what it was that inspired you to start your business.
I ask about the personalities of the people and pets in your life. Are there certain colors, clothes, or items that are meaningful to you or a loved one featured in the painting? I craft a story around the details you give me to create a one of a kind, personal, story-rich heirloom.
Simple commissions
provide a more affordable option for anyone still wanting a Holmes Watercolors original painting.
This piece of artwork is still unique and one of a kind but boasts a looser, freer style.
For a great value, my simple commissions still capture your home, family, pets, etc in the unique Holmes Watercolors look, but in a looser style without the personalized story elements.
These commissions have a charm of their own, with a sense of motion and freedom it’s not possible to achieve with the more detailed paintings.
