Sometimes, it’s nice to take a break from the daily grind and do something that just lets you relax and have fun. On Monday, January 21st, from 6:00–8:00pm, I’m hosting a casual, no-pressure sketch and watercolor class at my studio, Holmes Watercolors, and I’d love for you to join!
This isn’t about perfecting a masterpiece or turning you into an artist overnight—it’s about taking a moment to slow down and enjoy the process of creating. Whether you’ve never picked up a brush before or haven’t drawn in years, the goal is to just let go and have fun with the colors and textures.
We’ll explore some easy techniques to make watercolor feel intuitive, and I’ll show you how to break things down into simple steps. No need to worry about making it "right"—just experiment with shapes, colors, and whatever feels fun to you!
I’ll have plenty of reference images to choose from if you want inspiration, or feel free to bring your own—a pet, a favorite vacation spot, or something else that speaks to you.
The best part? You’ll leave feeling surprised by what you’ve created, even if you came in thinking you couldn’t draw a thing. There’s no rush, no judgment, just space to unwind and discover something new. Plus, all supplies are provided, so you can just show up and dive in.
