In this workshop you’ll be painting an image traced from a photo you send me. It can be of a family member, pet, vocation spot, your house, a landscape, etc.
Email images to info@holmeswatercolors.com by the evening of Friday, March 28th.
• Pixels to Paint Watercolor Workshop
Join me on Saturday, March 29th from 5:00-7:00pm at Holmes Watercolors for a relaxing 2 hour paint workshop
class cost: $40 covers the two hour class, a group lesson covering watercolor technique, and individual instruction as you need help. All materials will be supplied. No need to bring anything. Just send me an email with the photo you’d like to paint. (more details below)
Here’s how the class will break down:
Before the Class:
• When you purchase your ticket, find an image that you would like to paint and email it to me at info@holmeswatercolors.com.
I will trace the image on watercolor paper and bring it to the event. This is what you will be painting.
On the Day of the Class:
• I will hand each person their traced image, and watercolor materials will be provided for the event.
• I’ll begin with a fun exercise to get you into a creative headspace and relax.
• I’ll give group instruction on some ways you can add more detail to your images and personalize them, and go over some watercolor techniques
• You’ll work on your paintings, and I’ll check in with everyone to assist as needed. There is no ‘right’ way to make a piece of art, but if you’re unsatisfied with something or wanting to create a certain look, I will do my best to help you accomplish that.
Open to all ages who can follow instruction.
Come relaxed and bring a friend! The idea behind the class is to loosen up, learn techniques that will help you develop your own style, have fun, and see the world in a new way!No experience is needed, and all supplies are provided for the class; there’s no need to bring anything except maybe a friend or two…or five!
